Common Sense Sign
The ground around here is peat, which many people still use as a fuel. The heather provides many km's of dry wood over peat that is several metres deep. Peat like this will burn, at high temperatures, so it will dry out the wet peat before it ignites. In conditions like this the peat can burn easily for weeks and months is not unknown, so use your common sense, take care with ALL naked flames and other materials which may start a fire (Glass bottles, cigarettes, matches, etc... Even a small ember can reignite to start a fire, so take care. If you must smoke put the match & cigarette out in water).
