Shoreham Power Station
The first power station built on the southern side of the Canal was in 1897. A further coal fired power station was added in 1953 though both were closed by 1987. The current one was constructed in 2000 and has a 330 foot tower which provides a focal point for many miles along this coastal strip. Taken from Shoreham Power Station beach.
