Slow worm, just North of Rosedale Abbey
Rarely seen, this slow worm was basking in a small patch of sunlight amongst the woods just North of Rosedale Abbey. Slow worms look superficially like snakes, but are actually legless lizards. One way to identify them is that unlike snakes, lizards (and therefore slow worms) have eyelids.
