Rugby Cement pipeline
This sign is all there is to indicate that a pipeline runs across these fields. The sign says "Rugby Cement high pressure pipeline" and a location.
A correspondent Dylan Moore has given me more information. "The pipeline conveys chalk slurry 92 km from Kensworth, Bedfordshire TL022198 to Rugby SP488757. It was installed in 1965 and still operates. The slurry consists of 62% chalk, 38% water, and is used in combination with Warwickshire Blue Lias stone to make the raw mix that is used to make cement."
