Alpaca, Lower Claydon Hill Farm near Sandhill
These alpaca are grazing in Lower Claydon Hill Farm (called Claydon Hill Farm No 5 on OS maps) which is home to a company Alborada Alpacas according to a sign on the main road. The alpaca is a domesticated member of the camelid family, the others being camels, llamas, guanacos, and vicunas. Alpaca are increasingly being farmed commercially for their fleece as alpaca fibre is much sought after by textile manufacturers.
