Running fast today
This is Swildon's Hole, near to Priddy. It takes a small but enthusiastic stream that rises near Plummer's Lane, some 1km away to the north, and swallows it. Hereafter, it becomes part of the underground maze of caves and watercourses of the Mendips. Recent rains have made descents somewhat damper than it might be. Well-equipped and properly prepared explorers will find the passages navigable and rewarding, nonetheless.
