Cefn y Galchen
Weathered quartzite outcrops near the car park. Looking towards Blorenge.
These blocks were formed by intense frost-shattering processes at the end of the last ice age leaving only a few isolated blocks upstanding. The blocks have been rounded at the edges due to less intense but continuous weathering over the last 9,000 years.
