NT3474 : Musselburgh Sands

Musselburgh Sands
Musselburgh Sands
Sandbank at the mouth of the Esk. Visitable at low tide, but you need to be reasonably agile to climb back over the sea wall protecting the ash lagoons. The stony mudflats and sandbanks here are a rich feeding ground for waders and gulls. They were feeding further out than this, and can just be seen.
