SJ4065 : Walkway at the side of Napier House

taken 17 years ago, near to Handbridge, Cheshire West And Chester, England

Walkway at the side of Napier House
Walkway at the side of Napier House
Looking along the walkway in the inner bailey at the western end of Napier House - see also SJ4065 : The South West Front of Napier House. The other sides of the two buildings in the distance face onto, and form a corner of, the Castle Square. The Agricola Tower is out of sight on the right, opposite the skip. Nearer to the camera on the right, just past the first pseudo window sill, there is a letter 'D' carved into the wall. It seems too well carved to be graffiti so may be a mason's mark. See a close up of the 'D' in SJ4065 : Letter 'D' on Napier House.
