SO6268 : Relics of bygone transport

To the left of the picture can be seen part of the embankment of the railway which ran along the Teme valley, linking Woofferton to Bewdley.
On the right, the level at the base of the woodland is the line of the former Leominster Canal, much of whose line was later used for the railway. At this point it hugs the contours of the side valley to avoid the construction of an embankment. The railway was not so fussy!.
