The brown faced three-storey tenement - believed to be the work of Alexander Shairp and dating from 1897. There is some confusion as the official listing give the property address as 122-132 George Street (see: Link
), but the local business directory has the adjacent Scottish Hydro shop in No. 132 (see: NM8530 : Scottish Hydro-Electric shop, 132 George Street, Oban - May 2016 ). I am unable to solve this mystery as there is no directory entry for either the Crystal Palace or McColl's news-agency.
The tenement is Category C listed.
