Shading pony above Strodgemoor Bottom, New Forest
This pony is standing amongst flowering bell heather on a sandy ridge above the various bogs of Kingston Great Common nature reserve. It was grazing in this breezy location, but it is still being bothered by flies. Its ears are flattened because it is twitching them to try and keep the flies off its head.
