Westhall consist of a very attractive small towerhouse (castle) with a later mansion added on (to the right). The place was for long a private home, but in recent times has suffered as an unsuccessful hotel, and is now languishing (and deteriorating) while waiting for planning permission to turn it into something else equally unattractive!
