Sentry's View, Castle Rings
Sentry's View, Castle Rings
Taken from the Motte & Bailey earthworks on the edge of Edburton Hill escarpment. Believed to be Norman and built after the invasion as a temporary lookout commanding views of the Weald. The grid square ends at roughly the first hedge line in the fields ahead.
