SD5380 : The Duke, Farleton

taken 19 years ago, near to Farleton, Cumbria, England

The Duke, Farleton
The Duke, Farleton
A coaching inn (the Duke of Cumberland), dating from the days when the A6070 formed part of the main coaching route between Lancaster and Kendal. Still marked as an inn on the 1940s map, today it's a private house. Farleton Knott dominates the scene.
