Beeches near Black Barrow
Beeches near Black Barrow
These beeches are angled out over the ditch alongside the field boundary like swimmers awaiting the starting gun. They indicate the strength of the prevailing westerlies. Taken from the angle in the line of the wall, which is climbing from the Weir Water valley to Black Barrow. The trees to the north of the angle (behind the camera) are shaped more normally.
