SU9054 : The road over Tunnel Hill

taken 19 years ago, near to Mytchett, Surrey, England

The road over Tunnel Hill
The road over Tunnel Hill
The road from Mytchett to Pirbright passes through the armt training area and over Tunnel Hill, so -called because the railway passes beneath it in a tunnel. The railway calls the tunnel Foxhills Tunnel, although the OS thinks that Fox Hill is some way to the south. The road twists and turns over the heathland and is, sadly, the scene of regular road accidents.
