SE1628 : Reservoir, North Bierley

Reservoir, North Bierley
Reservoir, North Bierley
This is one of three in the valley of Toad Holes Beck. They are shown on the OS 6 map of c.1940, so were not built to store surface-water runoff from the surrounding industrial estates. That may well be their function now, however. The water level is surprisingly low considering the recent unusually wet period.
