Runt's Wood near Botolph Claydon
Runt's Wood is a remnant of the original Great Forest of Bernwood, the hunting ground for deer and wild boar of medieval kings in the 11th and 12th centuries, see SP7223 : Three Points Lane, Runt's Wood. This view, close to Three Points Lane that runs alongside the western side of Runt's Wood, shows an area of the wood that has been replanted, very likely in the last 15 years.
