Morecambe Promenade station
Morecambe Promenade station
In 1907 the Midland Railway opened a new station on the sea front at Morecambe and in 1924 it became known as Morecambe Promenade. In 1994 the line was cut back and British Rail opened the present station nearer the town centre. The splendid Promenade station building was retained, however, and it now contains the tourist information office, a restaurant and arts centre.
