Waterloo Bridge, Runcorn
Waterloo Bridge, Runcorn
Waterloo Bridge now marks the end of the Runcorn Arm of the Bridgewater canal, which once continued via a flight of locks to the River Mersey. The route was blocked by the building of the A533 access road to the Runcorn - Widnes bridge. The middle arch of the bridge gave access to a dry dock.
