Keys to the Past Web Site: This is a bastle which has now been turned into a house. The original rectangular building has heavy, rubble walls. A small extension to the rear was built in the 19th century The south wall has a doorway with an inscription above it. It reads ‘1723 WB BT’ , which stands for William Blackett Baronet.
