TF8044 : Alleged Footpath to Scolt Head Island

Alleged Footpath to Scolt Head Island
Unlike earlier editions, the latest 1:50,000 OS map shows a public footpath crossing the creek shown here and proceeding onwards over marshland, before crossing another major channel to the south side of Scolt Head Island. Even this modest creek needs waders and or stilts to cross and the main channel to the Island must be both impossible and dangerous most of the time. Best not to try!
