Shelter in Iain's Wood
Shelter in Iain's Wood
This is one of two shelters that Iain built. This wood, covering 36 acres, was planted almost single handedly by Iain Willoughby of Balnaknock. He began the task in 1994. It contains 35000 deciduous trees. Iain, who sadly died in 2005 aged 47, has left a terrific legacy in what is mainly a treeless part of Skye.
