On the occasion of a steam gala day. Alpha was visiting from the Statfold Barn Railway. Alpha is one of 5 P class Hudswell, Clarke 0-6-0PT 2' gauge locomotives. Originally ordered in 1915 for South Africa, the order was subsequently cancelled and Alpha was finished in 1924 and used at Ryam Sugar Mill in India. It was repatriated in derelict condition in 2013 and restored in 2015.

Gordon is a flameproof underground locomotive built for the NCB by Hunslet of Leeds as works No. 8561 in 1978 and was used at Allerton Bywater and Castlebridge Collieries.
