Bullet-holes in the pulpit
Bullet-holes in the pulpit
After the Reformation, the abbey at Abbotsbury having been destroyed and the stones used to build a manor house, in October 1644 the Parliamentary forces attacked the church and house. One of the bullet-holes can be seen about two thirds of the way up the right hand side.
