Beachy Head and Lighthouse
Beachy Head and Lighthouse
Eastbourne’s coastline extends for some eight miles dominated by the 600-feet high chalk cliffs of Beachy Head. Westwards from Beachy Head, these cliffs continue for a mile or so. Towards the east, the land slopes gradually down to sea level-from the Italian Gardens at Holywell, along the Western Parades, past the Wish Tower with its Sun Lounge, along Grand Parade, past the world-famous Carpet Gardens, the Pier and Royal Parade to Princes Park and to beyond Langney Point.
