Kingston Great Common, New Forest
Kingston Great Common, New Forest
Many of the pines that grow on the drier parts of Kingston Great Common have been harvested in recent years. The section of cut pine trunk in the foreground is a relic of this process. There are many stumps and other debris in the area, as well as the wide muddy tracks left by the extraction machinery and vehicles.
