The Wyche Cutting on the Malvern Hills
The Wyche Cutting on the Malvern Hills
A long distance view showing the notch in the hills. "Wyche" as in Droitwich and Nantwich is an old word for salt. This route over the hills was probably an important salt route. In the days before refrigeration salt was used to preserve meat.
