taken 17 years ago, near to Calvert, Buckinghamshire, England

Buffers, railway line near Calvert
Buffers, railway line near Calvert
The railway line on the right is the end of a siding from the waste transfer station at Calvert 3/4km away behind the camera, see SP6924 : Waste transfer station, Calvert Landfill Site, Calvert. Unfortunately some container wagons may have hit the buffers as they lie dismantled. From the left just beyond the buffers, the footpath from the Calvert-Botolph Claydon C road crosses the railway to join a bridleway off camera to the right, see SP6923 : Bridleway near Calvert.
