These commons are scattered all over the hillsides and mountains. They are used by local farmers mainly for grazing sheep, with a few cattle and horses. This one, like many in the South Wales Valleys, is coming under great pressure from motor-cross bikes, quads and even ordinary cars being driven off-road. In spite of being illegal, so much of this misuse occurs, that the damage it causes can be seen from space.
