An old-sounding name; here a modern pedestrianised street in the heart of a popular shopping destination. There must be an affluent population here. The range and quality of shops is not matched by Leamington or Coventry but is on a par with Birmingham.
This building was originally the Public Hall, opened in 1876, and later became the Council House (the centre of local administration for the borough). Link
