SO8660 : Disused section of the Droitwich Canal

taken 10 years ago, near to Hawford, Worcestershire, Great Britain

Disused section of the Droitwich Canal
Disused section of the Droitwich Canal
The canal is just about navigable from Droitwich to Ladywood, but this lower section has been totally taken over by nature. When restoration takes place, new reed beds will be planted near the canal to preserve as much of this environment as possible.
