SK6694 : Drainage outfall

taken 10 years ago, near to Austerfield, Doncaster, Great Britain

Drainage outfall
Drainage outfall
The lower railings mark the outlet of the Austerfield and Low Common Drains into the flood plain of the River Idle. Fortunately the amount of water on the other side is not high so there has been no flooding. These sort of water levels are probably normal in winter, but totally unexpected for July.
