SX9372 : Is it an omen?

taken 11 years ago, near to Shaldon, Devon, Great Britain

Is it an omen?
Is it an omen?
This sculpture rises portentously from the shrubbery. In combination with the grey sky it seemed to herald a downpour that would spoil the day for those enjoying the view to Teignmouth. But it passed without rain so maybe the bird is a sign of good luck? That aside, it is refreshing to see a sculpture which interacted (at least in my mind) with the environment, even if it was only in conjunction with some passing clouds for a few minutes.
