Tower of All Hallows Staining, from Star Alley
Only the tower of All Hallows Staining church survives. The church survived the Great Fire, being east (and thus upwind) of its starting point, but collapsed and was rebuilt in the 1670s. Two hundred years later the parish was combined with the nearby St Olave Hart Street and the church, apart from the tower, demolished; during the period after the Second World War, whilst the bomb-damaged St Olave was being repaired, a prefabricated church here served the combined parish, and the parish hall is still at this location.
