SN7813 : Moraine

taken 11 years ago, near to Cwmgiedd, Powys, Great Britain

This jumble of boulders is but one of many in the area. All are rounded lumps of Old Red Sandstone and Millstone Grit, presumably deposited here during the last Ice Age. They will have started their journey a few kilometres to the north where these rock types form the bedrock of the Black Mountain.
