SK8821 : The Church of the Holy Trinity, Sewstern

taken 8 years ago, near to Sewstern, Leicestershire, England

The Church of the Holy Trinity, Sewstern
The Church of the Holy Trinity, Sewstern
"Former Chapel of Rest, now a parish church. Built in 1842 to the designs of A. Salvin" (from LinkExternal link ).
The Viking Way long distance footpath runs past the church. For its last 16 miles the Way has followed the 'Sewstern Lane' green lane. But here at Sewstern the Lane becomes a rather busy tarred road, so the Way leaves it for a while.
