The Church of the Holy Trinity, Sewstern
"Former Chapel of Rest, now a parish church. Built in 1842 to the designs of A. Salvin" (from Link ).
The Viking Way long distance footpath runs past the church. For its last 16 miles the Way has followed the 'Sewstern Lane' green lane. But here at Sewstern the Lane becomes a rather busy tarred road, so the Way leaves it for a while.
SK8821 : The Blue Dog at Sewstern And many a good evening has been spent here! We almost bought the house next door back in the 1980s (not the one in the picture) but ended up in Eaton instead. We had a good meal here a few months ago.
