Tabernacl Eglwys Bresbyteriadd Cymru
Tabernacl Eglwys Bresbyteriadd Cymru
Calvinistic Methodist Chapel in Pendre, Cardigan's main street. A plaque gives the original date as 1760, with rebuildings in 1776, 1807, and 1832, as well as renovations in 1864, 1902 and 1986. This constant attention to upkeep may account for what the Pevsner architectural guide calls "the ferociously varied stuccoed front" with huge Gothic rose window, although apparently it was once even more heavily embellished until certain features were removed in 1986.
