TA2021 : The River Humber Edge

taken 13 years ago, 5 km from Ryehill, East Riding of Yorkshire, Great Britain

The River Humber Edge
The River Humber Edge
At this point, the embankment at the side of the river, is several hundred feet away from the river's edge. This ground is semi-marshland and will probably flood at very high tides.
The photo was taken right in the top righthand side of the square at MR: TA20992199 so as to avoid disturbing the local bird population (if there were any there). It's looking in a SW direction towards the south bank of the Humber (the Killingholme area). Access was made easy as there was an access slope from the embankment in exactly the right spot - the only one for miles!
