Two plaques by War Memorial Garden, Church Street, Cleobury Mortimer, Shrops
These two plaques are affixed to the wall by the steps from Church Street up to St. Mary's Church. The War Memorial Garden which contains a War Memorial, in the form of a cross, is in front of the church, overlooking Church Street.

The upper plaque reads:- "The War Memorial Garden Dedicated by the Bishop of Hereford on the 28th June 1989 following reconstruction funded by the Parish Council and the Royal British Legion based on designs by pupils of the Lacon Childe School".
The lower plaque reads:- "On the 8th of May 1995 Cleobury Mortimer united to commemorate the end of World War II in 1945 This stone was dedicated on the 15th of August 1995".
