'Audrey' is the last surviving mobile cinema of this type, based on a Bedford coach chassis, built in the late 1960s to promote British industry. It now houses a 22-seat theatre with digital projection, though the original film projector can be seen in the 'conservatory' above the driving cab. Here she is parked on George Street, offering a programme of films as part of the Festival Fringe.
The inscription on the lintel is: "God bless the baxters of Edinbrugh [sic]who built this house 1675". The Ancient Incorporation of Baxters (bakers) had a long association with Dean Village, where there were several mills which provided the baxters with flour.
