The Nene Valley Railway (NVR) acquired four Mark 1 Travelling Post Office (TPO) coaches following the withdrawal of the TPO service by the Royal Mail in 2004. The coaches, one of which is fitted with mail bag exchange equipment, were built by British Railways between 1959 and 1969. They are now on display together with a number of former Royal Mail vans at Ferry Meadows station.
