Maiden Castle - north side

The rather small ditch on the north side can just be seen on the right hand edge of this photo, whilst the inner rampart is missing on this side due to the natural slope of the hillside. Somewhere on this side of the fort there should be remains of three hut foundations, but they appear lost in the vegetation. The more general view is westwards up Swaledale.
