Rabbit activity in a round barrow (?), Beaulieu Heath, New Forest
The low grassy mound in the foreground looks to be home to rabbits, going by the number of holes dug into it. The mound could possibly be a wasted Bronze Age round barrow - there are many of them on Beaulieu Heath, including several nearby that are roughly this size. This area of heath was ploughed during the Second World War when desperation meant that it became necessary to try and cultivate the relatively poor soils of the heathland.
