Cattle on Beaulieu Heath, New Forest
This grassy area of lawn is surrounded by the heath. Presumably it was re-seeded to improve the grazing for Commoners' stock following the area's use for agriculture during the Second World War. Plough marks are still evident on the ground, and on the aerial photographs. The conifers in the background are part of the Norley Inclosure.
