Guten på Skogen - memories.
Glenmore Lodge, now Cairngorm Lodge YH was a training centre for WWII Norwegian resistance soldiers. The terrain was similar to the vidda terrain that sheltered them when they returned to Norway. Amongst those who trained here were the team that took out the Rjukan heavy water plant.
The bivouac shelters from their exercises are still there on the north top of Ben MacDui.
