Inside the Fish Tower, Barwick Park
Looking up inside the Fish Tower, a folly on the northern edge of Barwick Park, alongside Two Towers Lane. The folly is cylindrical with a square base, with several slit windows in the southern side, and open at the top. The column was formerly surmounted by an iron cage with a fish-shaped finial or weather-vane, hence its name. There are several other follies on the boundaries of Barwick Park. For an external view of the Fish Tower see ST5614 : The Fish Tower.
