Hearthstane Burn
Hearthstane Burn
The burn is quiet here, most of the water is being piped into a small hydroelectric power station. Taken during a foolish attempt to abide by the spirit of the Land Reform Act and avoid the farm. Unfortunately they are good at forbidding bossy notices, but cannot be bothered with showing the alternative route, a minor assault course. Best to brazen it out and use the road if going towards the Polmood glen or if heading directly to Broad Law go up the field to a gate in poor repair at NT114258 and hence to one of the hill roads.

Both Heartstane and Hearthstane appear on the maps.
