This decrepit viewing tower is seen from the public footpath that runs between Aldwincle village and Green Side Wood. It is located on the corner of the wood which it faces; it is not clear whether it is some kind of bird hide or a shooting platform. Either way it is reminiscent of a cold war watch tower.
